Tech Tip

For VOIP being delivered over G.711 codecs, requires approximately 90k for the first call and approximately 65k for each additional simultaneous call. With this in mind, a general rule of thumb when addressing bandwidth allocation is as follows:

DSL/Cable 384K - 5 calls
DSL/Cable 512K - 7 calls
DSL/Cable 768K - 11 calls
